What is iOS14?

iOS14 is Apple’s fourteenth mobile operating system. It was developed for iPhone and iPod. It is their most recent OS with a revamped home screen design.

iOS14 was introduced with notable additions such as the redesigned Home Screen with support for widgets, and much more.

It is important I state the new iOS 14 is compatible with all the devices that can run iOS 13.

iOS14 Problems| Problems with iOS14

Some of the problems plaguing iOS14 OS have been solved while others will require Apple’s update, and they already working on releasing a new version of iOS 14 that will help alleviate some of the issues.

1.iOS14 no text notifications: A lot of people have complained of text message notifications not working as they should. It is either text messages are going through, but notification bubbles not popping up, or the red bubble does not appear, even when you have an unread text.

That means you will have to keep opening your phone from time to time to check if you have a message.
This issue has been fixed by the iOS 14.3 update., If you still encounter the issue, consider updating your software.

2.iOS14 typing lag;  there has been a lot of complaint on the keyboard lag issue during typing. This has to do with the text and key pop-ups taking a while before they showing.

To solve this, simply update to a newer version. You can also navigate to Settings > General > Reset > Reset Keyboard Dictionary to fix this issue temporarily.

3.iOS14 does not play YouTube in 4K, or picture-in-picture. This has also been solved in the latest update.

4.Can’t connect to Wi-Fi- Apple has also fixed this issue in their previous updates too.

5. Mail and browser app setting reverts to factory setting by default- Solved in the latest update too.

6.iPhone 7 camera app viewfinder turns black – this also has been fixed in the previous update.

7.The Top Stories section of the Apple News appears blank – this has also been resolved, by the previous software update.

8.Battery draining faster can be fixed by factory resetting your device.
