How to Change Your PSN Username On A web browser

Changing your PSN user ID  on a web browser is very simple as well, and can be done following the few steps listed below

• The first step is to sign in to your PlayStation Network Sony account.
• Once you have done that,  select the PSN account name, or the PSN Profile also called “Online ID”.
•  Click on the “Edit” button to change your PSN username.
• Input your prefered new PSN name.
• Finally, to complete the process, follow the onscreen instruction.
• Sony usually will display some warnings, just go ahead and click on“I Accept” to continue.

Please note that changing your PSN name comes with a number of risk factors, so if along the line, you get a warning that there are some errors, please stop, revert whatever change you have done, and reclaim your old PSN username.

PS: Your old PSN name will still remain, even after you have changed to a new one.

 You can display the old name, next to the new one for a period of thirty (30) days, just to notify your friends of the change.

While PSN name change attracts a fee after the first time, reverting an old name is totally free.

All you need to do is to contact the PlayStation support team.

They are available on weekdays by phone between the hours of 6AM and 6PM PT, and by chat from 6AM to 10PM PT.

While during weekends you can reach them from 7AM to 8PM PT.
