To take a screenshot in Windows 10 using the new snipping tool, follow the steps below

• Capture a Snip:

The first step is to launch the snipping toolbar.

Then select the type of snip you want, Click Mode for the older version, or click the arrow next to the New button for the recent version.

Then pick the type of snip you want from the options that will appear; Full screen, Freeform, or Rectangular.

When making Freeform and Rectangular snip, you will select the area you want to cover.

The rectangular and Full-Screen snip is used to capture a rectangular and full-screen screenshot respectively, while the free-form snip is used to draw an arbitrary shape on the screen.
